Checking for broadband services
When you search for high-speed Internet access on our site, we need your address and telephone number to see if service is available in your area.
Your address and phone number are shared with our access provider partner, BT, in order for their systems to determine if your location is broadband ready. If you provide inaccurate address or phone number information, you can hit your back button on your browser to start your search over.
We keep the information that you provide during a serviceability check for research purposes and site maintenance. We will not use this information to contact you.
If broadband service is available in your area, you can answer some additional questions about your interests, desired price, and how you'll be using the service to help you find the best service for you. You don't have to answer these questions, but it will make your search easier. We keep this information in aggregate form for research purposes. The answers to these questions cannot be linked to any particular user.
Ordering
When you order a service, we need your name, address, phone number, and, in some cases your e-mail address, credit card number and other details to place the order with the provider you have selected. This information is given to the company you order service from and is necessary for ordering and installation. Adept Internet keeps this information on file, but will not share it with anyone besides the company you order service from. You may receive a confirmation email from Adept Internet acknowledging the placement of your order once you have submitted it through the site. A confirmation e-mail is only sent in the case of certain providers; however you will always receive a confirmation page that you can print for your records.
Once the provider you have selected contacts you to confirm your order and schedule an installation (if this is required), you can update or change any inaccurate information you may have submitted in your order. Some providers store the information they receive in each service check, and what they do with that information varies based on the provider. Similarly, if you decide to place an order for service, we collect all of the necessary order information including name, address, phone, email, credit card, etc. and pass it along to the provider you have selected. Adept Internet keeps that information on file, but will not share it with anyone besides the company you order service from. We aren't responsible for what that company does with your personal information. You should check that company's privacy policy to determine what it may do with this personal information.
Adept Internet won't share your information (except for the information listed above) with anyone without your consent. The only exception would be a demand from a court or governmental agency as required by law.
